How it worked before
How it works now

Only the reinvestment action was recorded when a distribution was reinvested, and if it was never reinvested, the event was missed entirely.

Short-term and long-term capital distributions, dividend payments, and interest payments are now captured as realized gain/loss activity.

Improvement: Simplified Market Value & Balance Calculations in the Holdings Widget

How it worked before
How it works now

Market values and account balances were computed using multi-step logic built into TrustDesk itself.

Holdings market values and account balances are now derived using a pre-calculated Position Market Value provided in the data feed, reducing the complexity of existing calculations.

Improvement: Pre-calculated Unrealized Gain/Loss for Tax Lots for the Gain/Loss Widget

How it worked before
How it works now

Unrealized gain/loss was always calculated as current balance minus cost basis. Now, if the data feed provides a pre-calculated value, that number is used as-is. The old formula still kicks in as a fallback if no pre-calculated value is available.

Where a pre-calculated unrealized gain/loss value is provided in the data feed, that value is now used directly.

Improvement: Correction of Money Market Handling for the Gain/Loss Widget

How it worked before
How it works now

Money market fund transactions were incorrectly showing up as realized gain/loss activity.

This has been corrected so that the full range of money market classification codes is properly excluded.

Improvement: in Gain/Loss Correct Handling of Reversed Transactions for the Gain/Loss Widget

How it worked before
How it works now

When a transaction was reversed, the transaction itself was correctly reversed, but any associated realized gain/loss records were left untouched and remained visible.

Holdings market values and account balances are now derived using a pre-calculated Position Market Value provided in the data feed, reducing the complexity of existing calculations.

Improvement: Dynamic Reassignment of Security Diversifications for the Security / Diversification

How it worked before
How it works now

If a securities Major Type Code or Reporting Class Code changed, the diversification classification wouldn't automatically update to reflect the new code.

When a securities Major Type Code or Reporting Class Code changes, the appropriate diversification classification updates automatically to reflect the change.
