Where to find accounts
- Dashboard shows account totals
- Portfolio organizes and lists accounts
- Insights and reports analyze account data
- Documents attach to accounts
When you Add an Account, Wealth Access categorizes it automatically, so balances and totals update across views.
Account data source types
The accounts that populate your Portfolio are sourced through three different means: Manual Entry, Held-Away Aggregation, and Managed By Advisor.
- Manual Entry: These are accounts that are manually added to your portfolio by yourself or an advisor. Manually Entered accounts are best used for more static value assets such as homes, cars, art and other investments. Because this is manually added, the parameters and account values are updated by the user when needed.
- Managed by Advisor: Managed by Advisor accounts are account lines that are sourced through a direct feed with your financial institution. These accounts are updated daily automatically and are assigned to your Wealth Access portal by your wealth advisor.
- Held-Away Aggregation: Held-Away accounts are accounts where the financial information is provided through a linked connection with an outside institution. Using your account login credentials, the held-away account will refresh financial information on a 24-to-48-hour cadence. Because this connection is performed through a 3rd party data provider, different financial institutions may have different refresh rules for account connections such as requiring a 2FA/MFA code upon data refresh.
